White noise washes, groovy top loops, side-chained pads, synth leads and funky basslines are all included in over 700 audio and MIDI loops, and all files have been mixed and mastered to the highest quality.
This pack also includes the usual great features for professional producers that you've come to expect from Producer Loops.

Unlooped Riffs:
These FX Tail files contain the decay portion of the wet loops, allowing you to end a phrase naturally without having to resort to fade outs or using up your DSP on custom reverbs and delays.
One-Shots:
These non-looped samples contain the percussive and FX samples heard in the Kit demos, allowing you to program new rhythms and breaks to compliment the included rhythms.
MIDI Files:
For those that want to really get under the hood, 'Sunny Lax: Modern Trance Vol 2' includes a number of MIDI files allowing you to use your favourite synths and samplers with the melodic phrases found in the Kits, or to create new variations on the melodies and chord progressions.
About The Producer:
Levente M‡rton, surely better known as Sunny Lax, was born in Romania but has been living in Hungary since he was four years old. As a young thirteen-year-old Levente was a keen enthusiast when it came to making Electronic music, and it was only a matter of time before the hobby that was to become a full-time profession.
Soon he had gained all the experience necessary to employ the latest production techniques that he is now famous for.
Sunny Lax the artist entered the Progressive circuit with releases entered in two major Hungarian remix competitions and his first success came in 2005 after he sent his new track "Puma" to one of the infamous Dance labels, Anjunabeats.
The trio Above & Beyond were so taken aback by his demo that they played the record for weeks on end (and didnŐt waste any time signing him up). As a result, his first EP was released and within a short time he received the full backing of all the key players on the scene, including the world's No. 1 DJ Armin van Buuren, who made "Puma" the Record Of The Week and featured it on his legendary ASOT Yearmix Album for 2005.
Driven by the success of these records Levente soon started receiving remix requests from almost every major label in the Dance music scene, averaging almost a mix a month. In addition to this, his sets have featured on major radio networks, and he has been asked to play at many key clubs around the world. But most importantly, and the thing that has continued to drive him, has been the overwhelming support from his fans, and for Levente, this is what makes it all worthwhile.
Levente has gone onto create Trance anthems including "Blue Bird", "Elda", "Miqu" and "Misgrey", and continued to work with key labels, such as Anjunabeats, Mondo, AVA Recordings and Deep Blue. At the same time he has continued to remix for all the biggest labels, and for leading artists on the scene, such as Above & Beyond, Darren Tate, Lange, Anhken, Daniel Kandi and Nitrous Oxide.
Levente is currently hard at work in the studio working on his first major album.

Native Instruments introduces ABBEY ROAD 50s DRUMMER
Native Instruments today introduced ABBEY ROAD 50s DRUMMER, a new KONTAKT instrument featuring the sound of two classic drum kits from the 1950s. The kits provide the distinctive drum sound of the era, which was necessary to compete with the electrified instruments gaining popularity at the time. Recorded with both state-of-the-art and period equipment at Abbey Road Studios in London, 50s DRUMMER also includes a groove library, mixer presets, and a new set of brush articulations, delivering the authentic feel of rock and roll, rhythm and blues, country, and jazz from the 1950s.ABBEY ROAD 50s DRUMMER features rare instruments from the very earliest years of popular music. The first kit is an early 1950s Gretsch Cadillac Green Nitron with a 20" bass drum, 12" rack tom and 14" floor tom. Its toms are tuned low, providing a smooth, open sound that still allows excellent placement in a mix full of amplified instruments. The second drum kit is a late-1950s WFL kit. The WFL provides 20" kick drum, 12" and 13" rack toms, and a 16" floor tom. The WFL kit's toms are tuned high, offering a brighter tone that perfectly complements the Gretsch. Each kit features three different snare drums from the same period, offering a wide tonal variety and added degree of customization. The kits are outfitted with a selection of 1950s Zildjian A and K cymbals to round out their authentic vintage tone.
50s DRUMMER was recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios in the legendary Studio Two. Alongside traditional microphone techniques, vintage RCA 44-BX and AKG D12 microphones, a REDD.17 valve mixing console and valve tape machine were used for 50s DRUMMER's vintage channels. Users can dial in these 'vintage channels alongside the modern state-of-the-art equipment for a seamless tone spectrum, ranging from completely modern to period-accurate vintage and anywhere in between.
New brush articulations were also recorded especially for 50s DRUMMER to reflect the playing techniques of the decade. Its extensive groove library encompasses early rock and roll, rhythm and blues, country, and jazz, as well as a wealth of contemporary rhythms, affording users an effortless way to begin sketching out complete drum recordings. Regardless of genre, producers looking to add original 50s flavor to their productions will relish the recording quality, ease of use, and attention to detail in ABBEY ROAD 50s DRUMMER.

Rob Papen goes in for the soft synth kill with Predator 1.6.4 update
Virtual instrument and plug-in developer Rob Papen Soundware is proud to announce availability of Predator 1.6.4, the latest update to its killer 'phat'-sounding soft synth, as of May 21...Rob Papen Soundware soft synths have always defined cutting-edge contemporary music production: powerful virtual instruments and plug-ins that intermix innovative design, uncompromising sound quality, and musical, production-grade presets designed to make tracks truly shine, whatever the musical genre. Predator - a 'phat'-sounding killer soft synth that combines inspiring presets and first-class features to create the perfect 'go-to' synth for contemporary music production - has been successfully doing just that since its introduction in 2009, as attested to by the long list of professional producers and musicians who have happily put aside their beloved synthesizer hardware in favour of this ambient, drum 'n' bass, club, hardstyle, hip-hop, and house music mainstay's thousands of tailor-made presets - many made by Rob Papen himself, long since established as a sought-after sound designer in his own right, having created presets for several well-known companies before going on to found his own namesake company.
There is always room for improvement, however, and with Predator 1.6.4 the best just got a whole lot better - and bigger! First and foremost, studio-based producers and musicians maximising 'screen estate' to speed up DAW workflow will appreciate the appropriately named new Big Screen graphic mode, which instantly increases the original Predator GUI by 150%. After all, making things easier on the eye clearly helps when it comes to making things easier on the ears in this day and age of visually enhancing the computer-based composition and recording process with big screens!
Of course, sound is where the art is, and, given its pedigree, Predator 1.6.4 does not disappoint with over 450 new presets to its numerically lengthened name conveniently arranged in Dance, Classic Synth, Ambient, DubStep, and Hardstyle BD Basses groupings. Indeed, Rob Papen himself is in the fortuitous position of being personally in contact with many of the world's top producers and musicians who regularly use his company's products and so can quickly act upon providing requested sounds and features to comfortably remain on the cutting edge of contemporary music production with Predator.
For example, a visit to the Rob Papen HQ by Headhunterz (a.k.a. Dutch hardstyle DJ/producer Willem Rebergen) - recently ranked 11th in DJ Magazine's annual Top 100 DJs poll - resulted in the aforesaid dedicated HardStyle BD Basses sound bank and also a new distortion effect within Predator 1.6.4 - proof positive of the soft synth's versatility. Additionally, Dutch DJ Rob Fabrie (a.k.a. DJ Headbanger, The Alienator, Gizeh, and Waxweazle) contributed the new Hardstyle Core BD Basses RF sound bank to Predator 1.6.4 while JoMal has also added his own artist bank of distinctive sounds to the update.
Existing Predator owners can simply login to their Rob Papen user account and download the Predator 1.6.4 update installer for free to access these new cutting-edge sound banks!
Other features new to Predator 1.6.4 include additional Clipper Distortion (with symmetry control) and Tape Chorus effects; Vowel, Formant 2-band, and Formant 4-band readouts (which when selected result in the Distortion dial displaying VOWEL or BANDWIDTH); and External MIDI Capture Mode (that allows a parameter to start changing as soon as the external MIDI controller reaches the displayed preset value).
Looking to add some bite to your contemporary music productions? Then look no further than Predator - now better than ever, thanks to this latest update!
Predator can be purchased as a boxed version from authorised Rob Papen dealers worldwide for €149.00 EUR (including VAT/tax)/$179.00 USD or downloaded directly from Rob Papen here: http://www.robpapen.com/buy-predator.html

Arturia updates Oberheim SEM V and Wurlitzer-V Analog Classics
Music software and hardware company Arturia is proud to announce availability of Oberheim SEM V 1.1.6 and Wurlitzer-V 1.0.5, the latest updates to its software recreations of the classic Oberheim Synthesizer Expander Module® and Wurlitzer EP 200A electric piano...These free updates bring performance, stability, and MIDI improvements to two of Arturia's most popular Analog Classics, the Oberheim SEM V and Wurlitzer-V, respectively released to critical acclaim in 2011 and 2012. The best just got a whole lot better!
Using Arturia's TAE® (True Analog Emulation) technology, Oberheim SEM V faithfully reproduces the analogue warmth and ingenious interface of the classic Oberheim Synthesizer Expander Module® (SEM) to which it owes its inspiration and name. Created by legendary synth designer Tom Oberheim back in 1974, the dual-oscillator SEM was originally conceived as a way of beefing up weaker-sounding compatible analogue monosynths of the time before becoming a sought-after sound in its own right — so much so that its American creator came up with a series of successive SEM-based instruments, first pairing up two SEMs with a 37-note keyboard and a simple analogue sequencer to form the Two Voice, Oberheim's first compact, programmable, polyphonic synthesizer in 1975, followed by the larger Four Voice (featuring four SEMs) in 1976 and enormous Eight Voice (eight SEMs) in 1977. Though these instruments were groundbreaking, polyphony was achieved with multiple SEMs so each voice/module had to be programmed independently, which was quite a daunting task — even by somewhat shaky Seventies standards!
But that was then, this is now. Today, Arturia's eight-voice, MIDI-controllable, multitimbral Oberheim SEM V software solution brings many more truly 21st Century developments to the table — or even desktop (or laptop)! Additional ARPEGGIATOR, PORTAMENTO, SUB OSC, LFO 2, OVERDRIVE, CHORUS, and DELAY parameters, plus an in-depth Modulation Matrix module, all combine to considerably widen its sonic palette and appeal above and beyond merely mirroring the original Oberheim SEM hardware. Oberheim SEM V valiantly does that, too, of course — right down to replicating the behaviour of Oberheim's original multi-SEM synths' specific voice assignment and triggering, thanks to its advanced 'fold-out' 8-Voice Programmer, for example.
Arturia has taken a different approach with Wurlitzer-V, however. Unlike traditional sampling libraries, its embedded physical modelling engine readily reproduces the agreeable acoustic properties of the well-known Wurlitzer EP 200A electric piano's musically distinctive reeds, key action, and amplification characteristics by 'constructing' played notes in real time. In doing so, it realistically recreates a staple sound of the Seventies in a cost-effective performance package fit for 21st Century compositions.
Yet those beloved bright and overdriven 'Wurly' sounds so ingrained in popular music culture thanks to artists as musically diverse as The Beatles, Supertramp, and Marvin Gaye are as much down to a creative combination of admirable amplification, mic placement par excellence, and precision processing, with multiple analogue chorus, phasing, and tape echo units often being used to fashion a deeper, luscious tone. Which is exactly why Wurlitzer-V effectively places its users in an authentic-sounding Seventies-style recording studio, complete with classic tube amp emulations, modelled mics, and stompboxes galore — everything needed to achieve that vintage vibe, in fact. But that's not all. Alongside additional in-depth performance parameter controls, Wurlitzer-V also lets users choose between three output modes — Studio, Stage, and Rotary, each with a distinctly different sound.
Anyone wishing to transport those tricky still-sought-after sounds of the Seventies screaming and kicking into the convenience of present- day DAW-based workflow simply owe it to themselves to check out Oberheim SEM V 1.1.6 and Wurlitzer-V 1.0.5 — now better than ever, thanks to those latest updates!
Oberheim SEM V and Wurlitzer-V can each be bought from the Arturia online store (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/buy/online-shop.html) as software downloads for €99.00 EUR/$99.00 USD or as boxed versions for €119.00 EUR/$129.00 USD.
Existing Oberheim SEM V and Wurlitzer-V users can download the latest updates for free from here: http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/downloads/updates.html

Waldorf boosts Rocket synthesizer with free iOS app
High-quality synthesizer developer Waldorf is proud to announce availability of Rocket Control, a free iOS assistant app for iPad that boosts the capabilities of its Rocket hardware synthesizer...Earlier this year, Waldorf went hell for leather to break the price/performance sound barrier when launching its revolutionary Rocket, a superficially simplistic USB-powered desktop synthesizer with digital waveforms and analogue multimode filter housed in a sturdy, compact and bijou (185 x 185 mm) casing. But beneath an eye-catching faceplate designed by synthesizer style guru Axel Hartmann lies a wealth of ear-opening sounds fit to reach for the stars! To the untrained eye it may look like the Rocket only offers a single oscillator, but truly trained Rocket scientists can soon see (and hear) that its OSC section includes some highly-flexible features: for example, selecting the sawtooth waveform switch then turning the adjacent Wave knob clockwise from the centre position adds up to eight sawtooth waves — wunderbar for producing PolySaw cluster-type sounds; selecting the sawtooth waveform and turning both the Wave and Tune knobs to their respective rightmost position activates a special unison mode whereby all eight sawtooth oscillators sound with frequencies according to the held notes, so playing a chord with up to eight notes results in that chord being played by all eight oscillators, whereas playing a single note produces just that — a single note, albeit with all eight oscillators slightly detuned to enrich the sound. Either way, it's a big sound from a little box with much more on offer besides! Blast off by selecting Boost to add warm, distorted characteristics, perhaps?
But hitting an attractive price point while maintaing Waldorf's all-important high-quality synthesizer sound meant making some tough design decisions. Rocket has no patch memories, for instance — no great loss to those creative types who like to sculpt sounds each and every time they play, but useful nonetheless in an age of instant recall.
Which is exactly where Rocket Control comes into play. This free iOS assistant app for iPad acts as a synth editor for the Rocket and allows users to edit and/or save their patches (when connected via a Camera Connection Kit, WiFi MIDI, or a CoreMIDI-compatible device). Edits can be viewed onscreen or edited directly on the iPad itself. Users can even play the Rocket using the Rocket Control keyboard — plus Pitch and Mod wheels!
What's not to like? Rocket Control is invaluable and free! So do yourself a favour and give your Rocket a sonic boost by heading on over to Apple's App Store and downloading Rocket Control... then reach for the stars!
iPad owners can directly download Rocket Control from Apple's App Store for free.
The Rocket synthesizer is available to purchase from Waldorf dealers worldwide with an RRP of €244.00 EUR/$349.99 USD (including tax).
